As a result of these periods abroad, in recent years he has received commissions from great “Hollywood” celebrities, has had great recognition within and outside his native Spain, speaks several languages, and, without a doubt, also masters the most international language of all: art.

Inspired by a multitude of references, among which the cartoons of his childhood stand out, he brings to life wicked and ironic representations of popular characters such as Popeye or Tom & Jerry in settings and environments that would hardly be approved by their original creators. In addition, he draws from the influence of a very large number of artists such as Egon Shiele or Norman Rockwell.

In his latest collections, he shows a more intimate and heartbreaking side, that has captivated the media, who consider him among young contemporary Spanish painters with more international projection.

He currently lives between Madrid and Algemesí dedicated to his passion and devotion, art. Casa Gama – Galería de arte online.

About the work

On the canvas, a child plays in his world, in his bubble. With his hands, he assembles a colorful puzzle, emblem of autism, which depicts the richness and uniqueness of his mind. His face radiates peace and harmony, oblivious to the noise and chaos that besiege him.

At his side, two figures, the paternal and maternal, look at him with love and sorrow. They are two colorful silhouettes, reflecting the whirlwind of emotions they feel: hope, fear, joy, sadness, frustration, pride… Emotions that at the same time your child cannot understand. They long to get close to their child, to enter their bubble, to understand their world, but at the same time they respect their space, their rhythm, their way of being.

The painting is a metaphor for the distance that exists between the world of the autistic child and the world of his parents, but also for the possibility of building bridges, of creating “links”, of sharing. It is a work that invites reflection, empathy and acceptance of differences. With a deconstructive technique and colorful abstraction, he shows us the diversity and complexity of autistic minds, and invites us to respect and value their differences.
